Learning Ways of Farm Guidance and Marketing Business
Study visit to Hyogo Prefecture
Commissioned by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), IDACA held a training course entitled Farm Management Planning Projects Related to the Nurturing of Romanian Agricultural Cooperatives from August 25 to September 13, 2008.
The training assembled nine people, who were senior government officers and presidents of Romanian pilot agricultural cooperatives, which have been set up modeled after Japanese agricultural cooperatives.
Classroom lectures were delivered on farm guidance activities of JA, farm products marketing system and the role of producers' groups. Study visits took them to JA Fruits Yamanashi, JA Hadano, JA Hyogo-Rokko, JA Hiroshima-Hokubu and JA Hiroshima-shi. In addition to these places, they visited units of JA Hiroshima Prefectural Union and JA Zen-noh Hiroshima related offices. The field study helped them build knowledge on actual practices related to farm guidance and the marketing system.
