I would like express appreciation and thankfully for the knowledge gain during our training on agribusiness promotion for small scales farmers’ in African countries.

I must confesses that, I learned allots on the training done with IDACA. Initially we in (TARABA STATE) Nigeria. Are practicing agriculture but with the resources and knowledge gain from you IDACA helps to improve the livelihood of our small scales farmers. From individual farming to cooperative farming especially rice. And also using false bottom technology on rice processing and millings.

Below are the three clusters engaged with on the activities of promotion of Agribusiness in Gassol Local Government area of Taraba State. Nigeria.

Name of the 3 groups in Mutum Biyu Town, Gassol;

1. BEHRAMU RICE PRODUCTION AND MILLINGS

2. ALHERI RICE FARMERS

3. WIDOW RICE PRODUCTION

So far we have achieved as follows:

Cooperative farming

Good agronomy practice has been impacting in our farming activities

False bottom techniques are also encouraging at adoption level (rice processing/ parboiling)

Branding of the clusters’ product is in line

We lack farm implement and machines to support the activities like seedling transplanter, rice polisher and de stoner machine

Sir, hope I will be having your support and literatures on good agricultural practice and agribusiness that aids in boosting the livelihood of my people at rural level.
